The Secret (Un Secret)

Running Time: 107 mins.

French, Yiddish, German with English subtitles

Un Secret is a story of passion and guilt in troubled times, which unfolds as a young teenager uncovers the truth about his parents’ past. Francois is an anxious-looking Parisian who has been informed that his elderly father has gone missing. This triggers flashbacks to 1955, when he was a shy, sickly kid, intimidated by two conspicuously robust parents: an erstwhile champion swimmer and a gymnast.
